Telehealth Autism Evaluations for Children
CARES provides telehealth Autism evaluations to children age 3 and above.
Evaluations include an assessment of verbal comprehension; adaptive functioning; language/communication; reciprocal social interactions; and restricted, repetitive, and stereotyped behaviors and interests.

Each evaluation involves an interview of the parent(s) or legal guardian who can provide detailed information regarding the child's history and current functioning. The interview also includes specific and detailed questions regarding early development and the presence of ASD symptoms. Depending on the child's age, he/she may be included in the interview. This typically takes an hour and a half. Next, the child is interviewed and observed interacting with the parent(s).

After the evaluation has been completed, a report is prepared within 2 weeks. The parents receive a 30 minute session reviewing the details of the report.
